2018: Courage, Faith, and Meaning: Existential Positive Psychology’s Response to Adversity
August 2-5, 2018 | Vancouver, Canada
During the 2018 Meaning Conference, members of the INPM set aside time to celebrate not only the 20th anniversary of the INPM, but also Dr. Wong’s 80th birthday. Friends and family members came forward to express their gratitude for someone they considered as a “mentor” and their “inspiration”.
At the end of all the wonderful presentations and speeches, a banner was brought forward with the signatures of all the attendees of the conference. It was a gift for Paul and a testimonial to all his hard work, relationship building and people he has positively affected.
2018 was certainly a milestone for Dr. Wong, the INPM and Positive Psychology 2.0.
Thanks for a wonderful conference experience… I was totally impressed by the way that attitudes have changed, as reflected in the kinds of ideas that were being expressed at the conference.Bruce Alexander, Ph.D.
Thank you so much for another wonderful conference. I know that it was a lot of work for both of you [Paul and Lilian], and I would like you to know that I am extremely grateful for all that you have done to make it happen. Thank you!Joan Ewasiw

What a marvelous and powerful conference!Diana Gomez de Molina
The conference went great. It was a wonderful collection of people, working on and sharing ideas around the awakening of personal meaning.Jim Rough, M.B.A., M.S.E.E.
Thank you for a wonderful conference! I learned so much from all the sessions I attended and greatly enjoyed interacting with the other participants. Much of what I learned will be of great help to me in my ongoing work with attorneys and judges. I also was very gratified by the positive response to my own interactive workshop on Immunity to Change. We had a full room and all the participants were deeply engaged. My only regret is that there were so many wonderful speakers and intriguing topics that I didn’t have time to attend everything I was interested in seeing. Too many blessings!Kathy Story, M.A., J.D.
It was a privilege and a pleasure to come all the over from Israel to Vancouver to join your “tent.” I have been following the INPM for a couple of years but finally had the opportunity to come. It has felt like home from first sight. Specifically, the talk you gave of living with cancer was inspiring.Dana Pereg, Ph.D.
Thank you so much for organizing such a wonderful conference. As a Master’s student of psychology in Hong Kong researching meaning in life, the conference broadened my horizon and inspired me a lot. It is also very warm to gather together a group of researchers with similar research interests to build networks. I can’t exaggerate how much the conference meant to me.Steven Chu, B.A.
Thank you so much for the hospitality, and the great conference!Yukun Zhao, Ph.D. Candidate
